We have lift off! If you've ever been curious about drones but didn't know where to start, this engaging workshop at Oatley Library is perfect for you. Led by Albert Ong, founder of the edTech social startup Tinkery, this session unlocks the fascinating world of drones and their real-world applications.
Participants will dive into the fundamentals of drones including different types, parts, and structures. You'll learn about flight rules and regulatory requirements to ensure safe and responsible flying. The workshop also covers flying principles, planning, and the physics behind aviation, making it both educational and fun for parents and children alike.
This hands-on workshop takes place on Saturday, 11 July 2026, from 10:30 to 12:30. The session is designed for adults but is ideal for parents interested in learning alongside their school-aged children. Albert Ong brings over a decade of experience in mechatronics engineering and edTech innovation, ensuring expert guidance throughout the workshop.

Bookings are essential and must be made in advance. Please arrive on time as late arrivals may lose their spot to standby guests.
