All are welcome to join our Monthly Climate Cafe Series, a unique opportunity to connect with others who share concerns about the climate crisis. This event offers a warm and supportive environment where you can express your feelings and find comfort in community.
At the Climate Cafe, you can expect a relaxed, small group setting where sharing your thoughts and emotions about climate change is encouraged without pressure or judgment. There is no agenda or expectation to solve problems, just a chance to listen and be heard.
The sessions are hosted by Carol-Ann Allen, an experienced facilitator who creates a safe space for open dialogue about anxieties, grief, and hope related to the environment. You’ll find moments of gratitude, laughter, and tenderness alongside serious conversations.
This is a chance to feel less isolated in your climate concerns and to connect with like-minded individuals in a caring community.
Each Climate Cafe runs for 90 minutes and is limited to 10 participants to maintain an intimate and supportive atmosphere. The event is free of charge and held monthly on Saturdays from 1pm to 2:30pm.
No prior preparation or materials are needed. Just bring yourself and an open heart ready to share or listen. The focus is on emotional support rather than activism or education.
The Climate Cafe takes place at the Port Phillip EcoCentre, located at 55A Blessington St, St Kilda VIC 3182, Australia. The venue is a community-managed environmental hub situated in the corner of St Kilda Gardens.
The EcoCentre is accessible by public transport and offers a welcoming, nature-inspired setting that complements the themes of the cafe. The sessions are held in a smaller meeting room within the centre.
Please register early as spaces are limited to 10 people per session to ensure a comfortable group size. The event is free, but there is no refund policy as no payment is required.
This event is ideal for adults seeking emotional support around climate issues and is not designed as a children’s activity. It is a safe space for sharing without pressure to act or fix the climate crisis.
