What to Expect
Experience a gentle introduction to Tai Chi with Sophie, designed to enhance your balance, mobility, and coordination. This weekly class combines mindful movement, meditation, and deep breathing to promote overall wellness.
Tai Chi is known to improve blood circulation, reduce stress, and increase muscle flexibility. Whether you're a beginner or looking for a new way to relax, this class welcomes all experience levels.
Wear comfortable, loose clothing and bring water to stay hydrated during this calming yet invigorating session.
Activity Details
Classes run every Tuesday from 13 January to 30 June 2026, starting promptly at 10:00 and finishing at 11:00.
You only need to register once to attend all weekly sessions throughout the year. Please note, missing three or more consecutive classes without notice may result in forfeiting your booking.
The sessions are free of charge but bookings are essential and open from 16 December 2025 at 09:30.
Location and Access
The classes take place at Lionel Bowen Library, located at 669-673 Anzac Parade, Maroubra.

Important Information
You must be a library member to attend; membership is free and easy to join online or at any branch.
Please arrive 10 minutes early to ensure the class starts on time. Latecomers cannot be admitted after the start time for safety and enjoyment reasons.
