Immerse your child in a creative and culturally enriching experience with the NAIDOC 3D Animal Paper-Craft workshop. Designed specifically for children in school years K-2, this event offers a unique opportunity to learn about Australia's native animals while celebrating NAIDOC Week together as a community.
Join us for a delightful hour where children will assemble a 3D native Australian animal paper sculpture. This hands-on activity requires no cutting, just colouring and gluing, making it perfect for young learners and their parents. The session encourages creativity, fine motor skills, and cultural awareness in a fun and supportive environment.
The workshop will be held on Wednesday, 9 July 2025, from 13:00 to 14:00 at the Margaret Martin Library, located on Level 1 of the Royal Randwick Shopping Centre. This is a free event, but bookings are essential and open from Tuesday, 10 June at 09:30. Children must be supervised by a parent or guardian throughout the session.
The event takes place at the Margaret Martin Library, Level 1, Royal Randwick Shopping Centre, Belmore Road, Randwick. The venue is accessible and family-friendly, conveniently situated within the shopping centre. Parking and public transport options are available nearby, making it easy for families to attend.
Please ensure your child is a member of the Randwick City Library to participate; membership is free and can be obtained online or at any branch. Arrive at least 10 minutes early to ensure the event starts on time, as latecomers cannot be admitted. Note that the event follows Covid-19 safety protocols, and attendance implies consent to potential photography or video recording for promotional use. If you prefer your child's image not to be used, please inform the staff before the event.
