What to Expect
Experience the joy of reading together as we join millions across Australia for National Simultaneous Storytime. This year, we dive into the exciting soccer adventures of Luna Roo, the kangaroo baller who wears the colours of the Matildas. Children can come dressed in the colours of their favourite sporting team, making it a fun and inclusive event.
After the story, kids will have the chance to participate in sporty activities and creative craft sessions inspired by Luna's adventures. It’s a perfect way to encourage literacy and active play in a welcoming community environment.
Guardians are required to stay nearby, ensuring a safe and supportive atmosphere for all children attending.
Activity Details
The event runs for one hour, starting at 11:45 am and finishing at 12:45 pm on Wednesday, 27 May 2026. It is free to attend and suitable for school-aged children who love stories and sports.
Group bookings of more than 10 children are welcome but require a phone call to the library to arrange. This helps the organisers prepare for a smooth and enjoyable experience for everyone.
For families looking for more reading inspiration, the library offers a dedicated Literacy and Reading Resources page with recommendations and advice tailored for children.
