Join the community in a solemn flag raising ceremony at Nangnak Gardens, Civic Centre, Nunawading. The event includes a formal acknowledgment of past injustices and a discussion of First Peoples’ artwork, including the Nocturnal Animals Sculpture displayed at The Round. This is a family-friendly occasion that encourages learning and connection.
The ceremony runs for one hour, from 13:30 to 14:30 on Monday, 26 May 2025. It marks the beginning of Reconciliation Week, which continues from 27 May to 3 June with the theme 'Bridging Now to Next.' In case of wet weather, the ceremony will move indoors to The Round, ensuring the event proceeds smoothly regardless of conditions.
