What to Expect
Immerse your children in the wonders of nature with the Nature Connect School Holiday Ranger Program. This program offers a unique opportunity for kids to discover native wildlife, plants, and fungi while learning about the importance of biodiversity conservation. It's a perfect way for families to enjoy the outdoors and foster environmental awareness in young minds.
Children will participate in age-appropriate sessions that encourage curiosity and hands-on learning. Whether your child is a budding naturalist or simply loves spending time outside, these sessions provide a fun and educational experience.
The program is designed to engage children up to 18 years old, with mixed-age group activities that promote social interaction and teamwork.

Location and Access
The sessions take place at different natural reserves depending on the season, with the summer session held at Seaford Wetlands. This location provides a rich environment for exploring wetlands biodiversity and observing native species in their natural habitat.
Other seasonal locations include George Pentland Botanic Gardens in autumn, Frankston Foreshore in winter, and Langwarrin Studio Park in spring, offering diverse ecosystems for exploration throughout the year.
These sites are family-friendly and easily accessible, providing a safe and welcoming environment for children and parents alike.

Parents should ensure children wear comfortable outdoor clothing and bring water bottles, hats, and sunscreen to stay protected during the sessions. Closed-toe shoes are recommended for walking in natural terrain.
