What to Expect

Bands will compete through a series of heats leading to a thrilling final, providing plenty of entertainment and opportunities to discover new local artists. It’s a fantastic way to engage with the Northern Beaches community and enjoy a lively cultural event.
Activity Details
The competition opens with band registrations starting Monday 4 May 2026 and closing Sunday 31 May 2026. An online info session will be held on Monday 18 May to help bands prepare.
The heats take place on Saturdays in July at different venues:
- Heat 1: 4 July at Mona Vale Memorial Hall
- Heat 2: 11 July at YoYo's Youth Centre, Forestville
- Heat 3: 18 July (venue TBC) at Warriewood Community Centre
The grand final is scheduled for Saturday 1 August 2026 at PCYC Northern Beaches.
Location and Access
Events are held at accessible community venues across the Northern Beaches, including Mona Vale Memorial Hall, YoYo's Youth Centre in Forestville, Warriewood Community Centre, and PCYC Northern Beaches. These locations are well-served by public transport and have parking facilities, making it easy for families to attend.
