Discover the power of youth participation in shaping programs and services that impact young people. This engaging workshop is designed for youth workers eager to deepen their understanding of meaningful youth involvement, especially for those facing social exclusion and marginalisation.
Explore key frameworks such as Hart’s Ladder, Shier’s Pathways to Participation, and Lundy’s Model of Participation, and learn practical strategies to amplify youth voices in decision-making processes.
Facilitated by Kate Munro, a seasoned expert with nearly 35 years of experience, this session promises valuable insights and tools to enhance your youth work practice.
This workshop is the final session in a series of three, sponsored by Randwick City Council and delivered by Luminosity Youth Development Solutions.
Participants will engage in interactive discussions and activities focused on youth advisory groups, youth voice mechanisms, and systemic advocacy.
The training will cover participation rights from the perspectives of the United Nations and the NSW Government, ensuring a comprehensive understanding of youth participation.
