The park itself is a charming green space along a historic tram route, perfect for a leisurely walk or a peaceful picnic. You'll be contributing to the upkeep of diverse plants that add texture and beauty to the area.
Volunteers engage in activities such as pruning vegetation and mulching garden beds, ensuring the park remains a vibrant and welcoming space for all visitors.
The Parkcare sessions occur every month on the second Thursday, from 09:00 to 12:00. This regular schedule makes it easy to plan and commit to helping out.
No special skills are required, just enthusiasm and a willingness to get involved in hands-on conservation work. Tools and guidance are provided by the Council's Bushcare officer.
This is an excellent opportunity for families with school-aged children to learn about local ecology and the importance of community environmental stewardship.
