Step into the historic charm of Old Tramline Park, a narrow green space along a former tram route, perfect for a peaceful walk or picnic. This park is home to a diverse range of plants, offering visual delight with various shapes, sizes, and textures. As a volunteer, you'll join a community passionate about preserving and enhancing local natural habitats.
Volunteers work alongside Randwick Council's Bushcare officer to prune vegetation, mulch garden beds, and maintain the park's health and beauty. The sessions occur monthly, providing a regular opportunity to contribute to your local environment. This hands-on activity is ideal for those who enjoy outdoor work and want to make a tangible difference in their community.
The parkcare sessions take place adjacent to 284R Carrington Road, Randwick. The location is easily accessible and offers a pleasant setting for outdoor volunteering. Whether you come alone or bring family, the park provides a welcoming environment for all ages.
- Sessions are held every month on the 2nd Thursday from 09:00 to 12:00.
- The program runs until 10 December 2026.
- Volunteers should wear suitable outdoor clothing and bring water.
- No prior experience is necessary; guidance is provided by the Bushcare officer.
