Operation Art 2026 is a vibrant annual exhibition celebrating the creative achievements of children from central and greater Sydney. For over 30 years, this initiative has highlighted the power of art to inspire and heal, with selected artworks displayed in hospitals to brighten the environment for sick children.
Visitors can explore a diverse collection of student artworks, including paintings, mixed media, and digital creations. The exhibition features 23 selected pieces that will be displayed at The Children's Hospital at Westmead, helping to create a comforting atmosphere for young patients. Families will enjoy a welcoming space where creativity and community come together.
The exhibition runs from 30 May to 28 June 2026, open daily from 11:00 to 17:00, except for Monday 8 July when it is closed for a public holiday. It is hosted at the Art Space Gallery – The Concourse and extends into Chatswood Library. The event is free to attend and suitable for all ages, making it a perfect outing for parents and school-aged children interested in art and community engagement.
The exhibition is located at Art Space Gallery – The Concourse, 409 Victoria Avenue, Chatswood 2067. The venue is easily accessible by public transport and offers family-friendly facilities. Visitors can enjoy a stroll through Chatswood while exploring the gallery and library spaces.
