Immerse your family in a meaningful and hands-on experience connecting with the land and culture at the Planting Edible and Indigenous Seedlings Workshop. This event welcomes all ages and abilities to explore the traditional plants of Taungurung Country while contributing to an Indigenous garden.
What to Expect
The day begins with a powerful Smoking Ceremony and a Welcome to Country led by Elder Aunty Jo, setting a respectful and inclusive tone. Community Farmer Jemma Stefanou will guide participants through planting native edible grasses and shrubs, including seedlings grown during a previous seed workshop. This is a wonderful opportunity for children and adults alike to learn about Indigenous plants and sustainable gardening practices.
