Join local artist Nami Osaki as she transforms ordinary cardboard boxes into a life-sized postal van installation. This interactive artwork will captivate children and adults alike, offering a hands-on experience that brings creativity and local history together.
Families can drop in anytime between 10:00 and 13:00 to watch the creation process and learn about the famous Bassendean Post Box’s rich history from knowledgeable librarians. It’s a wonderful opportunity for children to engage with art and heritage in a fun, informal setting.
Once completed, the postal van will be displayed in the children’s section of Bassendean Memorial Library for everyone to explore and enjoy at their leisure.
This free event is designed for all ages, making it perfect for families looking for a creative outing. No bookings are required, so you can come and go as you please during the event hours.
