This engaging weekly workshop is designed for adults eager to enhance their public speaking skills. Whether you want to nail a work presentation, deliver a memorable speech, or simply feel more confident in meetings, this class offers practical techniques used by professional performers.
Led by Nick Gell, a NIDA-trained actor with over a decade of teaching experience, you will learn to use your voice, body language, and clarity to captivate any audience. The small group format ensures personalized feedback and a friendly, social atmosphere.
You can attend with a specific goal in mind or join regularly to steadily build your confidence and presence over time.
The workshop runs weekly on Sundays from 17:30 to 19:00. Each session is structured to focus on different aspects of public speaking, including voice control, physical presence, and audience engagement.
Participants are encouraged to bring their own speaking challenges, such as preparing for a pitch, a best man speech, or a professional presentation. The sessions are practical and interactive, with opportunities to practice and receive constructive feedback.
This is a community-organised event, welcoming adults of all experience levels who want to improve their communication skills in a supportive environment.
The workshop is held at The Place, a creative studio located at 12 Victoria Street, Lewisham, NSW 2049. The venue is conveniently near Lewisham station, making it easily accessible by public transport.
The Place is a welcoming space where working performers share their craft, providing an inspiring setting for learning and growth.
Parking and additional access details can be found by contacting the organisers or visiting the venue's website.
