What to Expect
Immerse yourself in nature and make a real difference by joining the Randwick Environment Park Bushcare program. This is a wonderful opportunity for families to connect with the environment and teach children the importance of caring for native bushland.
You will work alongside Council's Bushcare Officers in a supportive and friendly environment, focusing on removing invasive weeds and nurturing native plants. The sessions are hands-on, rewarding, and perfect for anyone passionate about the outdoors and conservation.

Activity Details
Bushcare sessions take place every month on the second Sunday from 09:00 to 12:00. Activities include primary weed removal, hand weeding among native plants, and revegetation of degraded areas.
The program is suitable for volunteers of all experience levels, including families with school-aged children who want to learn about native plants and environmental stewardship.
Volunteers are encouraged to wear sturdy footwear, bring water, and sun protection to stay comfortable during the morning.
Location and Access
The sessions are held at Randwick Environment Park, the largest bushland reserve in Randwick, known for its significant native vegetation remnants.
Access the park behind the oval via the corner of Dooligah Avenue and Burragulung Street. The location is easily reachable and offers a peaceful natural setting within the city.
Parking is available nearby, and public transport options service the Randwick area.
Important Information
Volunteering requires no prior experience, and all necessary tools and guidance are provided by the Council's Bushcare Officers.

Children must be supervised by an adult at all times to ensure safety during activities.
