This delightful program brings families together at the local Mill Park Library for an engaging morning of storytime, interactive games, and fun activities designed especially for young children. It’s a wonderful opportunity to connect with other parents and carers while your little ones enjoy playful learning.
You will also meet the City of Whittlesea Early Years team, who provide valuable information about local services, programs, and events tailored to your neighbourhood. Maternal child and health nurses join the session to offer expert advice on toilet training, helping parents understand readiness signs and normal behaviours.
The session is informal and supportive, making it easy for parents and carers to ask questions and share experiences in a friendly environment.
This event is facilitated by the City of Whittlesea Children and Families Department in partnership with Yarra Plenty Regional Library. It is designed for parents and carers of young children who want to support their child’s early development and connect with community resources.
The session covers:
- Storytime and play activities for children
- Guidance on toilet training readiness and behaviour
- Information on where to seek additional support if needed
This is a free event, making it accessible for all families in the community.
The program takes place at Mill Park Library, located at 394 Plenty Road, Mill Park, 3082. The library is a welcoming community hub with easy access by car and public transport.
Parking is available nearby, and the venue is fully accessible for strollers and those with mobility needs. The library setting provides a safe and comfortable space for children and parents to engage in activities together.
The session runs on Thursday, 19 March 2026, from 10:00 to 11:30 AM. Please arrive a few minutes early to settle in and enjoy the full experience.
No prior booking is required, but arriving early is recommended as spots can fill quickly. The event is suitable for parents and carers with children in early years.
Feel free to bring along any questions you have about early childhood development or parenting challenges; the experts will be there to help.
This is a free community event with no cost to attend. There is no need to book in advance, making it easy to drop in and participate.
