Repair Lab Melville offers a wonderful opportunity for families to breathe new life into their broken household items. This free community event encourages sustainability by helping reduce waste and landfill through repair. Parents and children alike can learn valuable repair skills while connecting with friendly volunteers eager to assist.
At this drop-in event, volunteers will attempt to repair a variety of household items including small electrical appliances, textiles, shoes, furniture, bicycles, and stands. While not all items can be guaranteed repair, the volunteers bring their skills, tools, and time to help as much as possible. You can also explore the Buy Nothing Market, where you can drop off or take home items for free, promoting reuse and community sharing.
