Activity Details
The program runs over two days, Tuesday 14 and Wednesday 15 April, from 9:30am to 3:30pm each day. The experience includes behind-the-scenes access to the DigiVol Labs where digitisation of the Museum’s vast collection takes place. Kids will meet Alex Romano, DigiVol Online Coordinator, who will share insights into the digitisation process and citizen science projects.
This full-day workshop is strictly for children aged 9 to 12 years, ensuring age-appropriate content and activities. It’s perfect for young explorers eager to learn about biodiversity and scientific research methods.

The event is held at the Australian Museum, specifically in the Lower Ground Patricia McDonald Education Rooms. The Museum is located at 1 William Street, Sydney NSW 2010, easily accessible by public transport and with parking options nearby.
Visitors can enjoy the Museum’s welcoming environment and facilities, making it a comfortable and educational outing for families. The Museum is open daily from 10am to 5pm, with this special program starting earlier to maximize the learning experience.
