What to Expect
Skate Jam offers a fantastic opportunity for young people and families to enjoy a fun, safe, and supervised skateboarding experience at Maddington Skate Park. Whether your child brings their own skateboard, scooter, or BMX, or uses the equipment provided, there’s something for everyone. The sessions are relaxed drop-in style, making it easy to join anytime during the scheduled hours.
Youth Workers are on hand to support and engage with participants, creating a welcoming community vibe. Additional sports equipment, chairs, music, and snacks add to the lively atmosphere, ensuring everyone has a great time.
Activity Details
Skate Jam sessions run weekly at Maddington Skate Park on Tuesdays from 15:00 to 17:00. The program is free and open to all ages, with no registration required. It’s a perfect after-school activity that encourages physical activity, social interaction, and skill development in a safe environment.
Participants can expect a friendly, inclusive space where they can practice tricks, meet new friends, and enjoy music and refreshments. The sessions are supported by the City of Gosnells Youth & Families team, ensuring professional supervision.
Location and Access
The event takes place at Maddington Skate Park, located at 130 Westfield Street, Maddington WA 6109. The skate park is easily accessible by car and public transport, with parking available nearby.
The venue is outdoors and suitable for skateboarders, scooter riders, and BMX enthusiasts. Parents can comfortably watch from provided seating areas while their children enjoy the activities.
Important Information
Skate Jam sessions do not operate on Western Australian public holidays. Participants are encouraged to stay home if feeling unwell to maintain a healthy environment for all.

Safety gear such as helmets is provided, but participants are welcome to bring their own equipment. The program promotes a safe and supportive atmosphere for all skill levels.
