These classes cover a wide range of topics including managing labour and birth, induction, possible complications, and emergency caesarean birth. For those planning a caesarean, a dedicated class focuses on what to expect during the procedure and early parenting essentials. You'll also learn about newborn care, breastfeeding, safe sleeping, emotional wellbeing, and community support options.
Classes are held regularly with options for a full weekend or a single day session. The full weekend class runs Saturday from 08:15 to 16:00 and Sunday from 08:30 to 15:00. The caesarean birth and early parenting class is a Saturday-only session from 08:15 to 16:00. Each booking includes attendance for you and your partner or support person. Booking about 4-6 weeks before your due date is recommended to ensure the information is timely and relevant.
