These classes provide a warm, supportive environment where you can learn about managing labour, birth options including assisted and emergency caesarean births, and early parenting essentials. Expect detailed guidance on breastfeeding, safe sleeping, emotional wellbeing, and community support networks.
Choose between a full weekend class or a one-day caesarean birth class. Weekend classes run Saturday 8:15am to 4:00pm and Sunday 8:30am to 3:00pm, while the caesarean class is held on Saturday from 8:15am to 4:00pm. Topics include induction of labour, possible complications, newborn characteristics, maternity ward stay, and sleep and settling techniques.
Classes take place at St Vincent's Private Hospital Toowoomba, located at 22-36 Scott St, Toowoomba City QLD 4350. The hospital is easily accessible and provides a comfortable setting for learning and preparation.
Booking one ticket includes attendance for you and your partner or support person. It is recommended to book 4-6 weeks before your due date to ensure the information is timely.
