Experience comprehensive parenting classes designed to prepare you for the exciting journey ahead. Whether you're a first-time parent or looking for a refresher, these sessions offer valuable insights into labour, birth, and early parenting.
These classes are led by experienced midwives who guide you through managing labour and birth, including assisted and emergency caesarean births. You will learn about induction, possible complications, and newborn care. There are options for a full weekend class or a focused caesarean birth class.
- Weekend class: Saturday 08:15 to 16:00 and Sunday 08:30 to 15:00
- Caesarean birth class: Saturday 08:15 to 16:00
Topics include labour management, newborn characteristics, breastfeeding, safe sleeping, emotional wellbeing, and community support.
Held at St Vincent's Private Hospital Toowoomba, located at 22-36 Scott St, Toowoomba City QLD 4350. The hospital is easily accessible and provides a welcoming environment for expectant parents.
Booking is recommended 4-6 weeks before your due date to keep information fresh. One ticket covers attendance for you and your partner/support person. If your birth plan changes to a caesarean, contact the maternity unit to switch classes.
