Our small group classes provide a supportive environment where you can learn about managing labour, birth options including assisted and emergency caesarean births, and navigating the early days with your newborn. Expect detailed discussions on induction, possible complications, and newborn care essentials like breastfeeding and safe sleeping.
Choose between a full weekend class or a focused one-day caesarean birth class. Weekend classes run Saturday 08:15 to 16:00 and Sunday 08:30 to 15:00, while caesarean classes are held on Saturdays from 08:15 to 16:00. Each ticket includes attendance for you and your partner or support person. Booking 4-6 weeks before your due date is recommended to keep information fresh.

If your birth plan changes to a caesarean, contact the Dorothea Devine Maternity Unit reception to switch classes. Check with your health insurer to see if the class cost is covered. Only one ticket per family is needed, covering both parent and support person.
