What to Expect
Dive into the mysterious forces of magnets in this engaging STEM after school session. Your child will discover what objects are magnetic and how magnets interact with each other through fun experiments. They will also create a temporary magnet and build a magnetic fishing game to take home, sparking curiosity and learning.
This activity is perfect for children aged 8 to 12 who love hands-on science and discovery. It encourages critical thinking and creativity while making science accessible and enjoyable.
Parents of children aged 10 and under must stay in the library during the session, ensuring a safe and supportive environment for all participants.
Activity Details
This workshop is led by Georges River Council and is part of a weekly STEM series focusing on different scientific themes. All materials and equipment are provided, so just bring your enthusiasm!
The session runs for one hour, from 16:00 to 17:00, on Wednesday, 25 March 2026. Spaces are limited, so booking is essential to secure your child's spot.
Safety is a priority: one parent or guardian can supervise up to four children, and contact details must be provided at booking for participants under 16.
