Join us for an exciting STEM After School session where children aged 8-12 will dive into the world of science through a hands-on marble run activity. Using household and recycled materials, kids will challenge themselves to build and race their marbles against the clock, sparking creativity and problem-solving skills.
This workshop offers a playful yet educational experience where children will:
- Construct marble runs using everyday items
- Learn about physics principles like gravity and momentum
- Engage in friendly competition to see whose marble runs fastest
Parents can expect a lively, interactive environment that encourages curiosity and teamwork.
The session is scheduled for Wednesday, 4 March 2026, from 16:00 to 17:00. All materials and equipment are provided, so just bring your enthusiasm! The workshop is suitable for children aged 8-12 years. For kids 10 and under, a parent or guardian must stay in the library during the event, with a maximum supervision ratio of one adult to four children.
The event takes place at Penshurst Library, located at 630 Forest Road, Penshurst. The library is accessible and welcoming, with staff ready to assist with any special requirements. Parking and public transport options are available nearby, making it easy to drop off and pick up your child.
Spaces are limited and bookings are essential to secure a spot. Please arrive on time; late arrivals over 10 minutes may lose their place to standby participants. If you cannot attend, kindly cancel at least three hours before the event to allow others to participate.
