The Summer Reading Challenge runs from 1 December 2025 to 31 January 2026, covering the entire summer break period. It is completely free to join, requiring only a library membership, which is also free.
Participants can borrow materials from any Blue Mountains Library branch or access electronic resources online, making it convenient regardless of location. Log sheets to track reading progress can be picked up at any library or downloaded from the Blue Mountains Library website.
This challenge is inclusive and flexible, welcoming all reading levels and preferences, and is a fantastic way to maintain literacy skills during the holidays.
The challenge is hosted by the Blue Mountains Library network, with physical locations including the main branch at 104 Macquarie Road, Springwood, and all other Blue Mountains Library branches.

Library branches are open Monday to Friday from 9am to 4pm, providing ample opportunity to visit and collect materials or log sheets.
