Come and “hit it off” with friends at our weekly Table Tennis For Fun sessions held every Monday. Whether you're a beginner or just looking for some light exercise, this low-impact sport is a great way to meet people and have fun.
Paddles and balls are provided by the library staff, so just bring your enthusiasm. The games are played in a friendly round robin style, ensuring everyone gets a chance to play.
No experience or bookings are necessary, making it easy to drop in and join the fun at any time.
Sessions run every Monday from 13:00 to 15:00 until March 30, 2026. Please note there are also table tennis sessions on Fridays, but no play occurs on public holidays when the library is closed.
All players must be library members and are required to sign in and register their details at the library on level 1 before playing. Equipment is available on a first come, first served basis.
The event is free of charge, making it an accessible and enjoyable activity for families and individuals alike.
The sessions take place at Lionel Bowen Library, located at 669-673 Anzac Parade, Maroubra. Players should catch the lift to level 3 of the Lionel Bowen Library and Community Centre and follow the sounds of ping pong.
