What to Expect
Experience the calming and restorative practice of Tai Chi guided by expert Qigong Master Simon Blow. This beginner-friendly class focuses on gentle stretching and mindful movements that promote physical healing and emotional balance. Whether you attend in person or online, you'll be welcomed into a supportive environment suitable for all ages.
The sessions incorporate traditional exercises like Ba Duan Jin and Taiji Qigong Shibashi, designed to harmonize your mind, body, and breath. These movements help stimulate the body's meridian system, enhancing circulation, strength, and overall wellbeing.

Activity Details
Classes run weekly on Mondays from 2026-04-13 to 2026-06-01, excluding the public holiday on 2026-04-27. Each session lasts from 10:00 to 11:00.
You can choose to attend in person at Lionel Bowen Library, Maroubra, or join online via Zoom. In-person attendees will also receive the Zoom link before each session, allowing flexibility to join online if needed.
Booking is essential, with a one-time registration covering all sessions. The in-person course costs $18 per term, while online participation is free.
Location and Access
The in-person classes take place at Lionel Bowen Library and Community Centre, located at 669-673 Anzac Parade, Maroubra.
The venue is accessible and welcoming, with support available for participants with specific access requirements. If you need assistance, contact the library in advance to arrange accommodations.
Online sessions are hosted via Zoom, with joining instructions sent by email prior to each class. This hybrid format ensures everyone can participate comfortably from home or in the community.
Important Information
Please register once to attend all weekly sessions; missing three or more consecutive weeks without notice may result in forfeiting your booking.
Participants must be library members, which is free and easy to join online or at any branch.
Health and safety guidelines, including Covid-19 measures, apply for in-person attendance. Arrive 10 minutes early to allow for setup, and latecomers may not be admitted.
Recording or distributing the webinar is prohibited; sessions are live only and will not be available for later viewing.
Booking and Prices
Bookings are made through Eventbrite, an external website. You must select either online or in-person attendance when purchasing your ticket; changes after purchase require cancellation and rebooking.
In-person attendance costs $18 per term, while online participation is free.
Refunds are available for cancellations made at least one day before the event start date, minus Eventbrite fees.
