Immerse your family in a special NAIDOC Week celebration through storytelling and art. This engaging one-hour session invites children and their parents or guardians to connect with First Nations culture in a warm and respectful environment. Proud Taungurung Elder Aunty Jo Honeysett will share a captivating Dreamtime story that sparks imagination and cultural appreciation.
Following the storytelling, children will have the opportunity to participate in a cultural painting activity. This creative session encourages expression through art inspired by the stories shared, fostering a deeper connection to culture and history.
The session also includes time for questions and open discussion, allowing families to learn more about the Taungurung people, their heritage, and connection to Country.
This free event is designed for children and families, making it a perfect outing during school holidays or weekends. Children must be supervised by a parent or guardian at all times to ensure a safe and supportive experience.
The session lasts approximately one hour, providing a focused but relaxed environment for learning and creativity. Bookings are required to secure your place, so plan ahead to avoid disappointment.
