Discover how to confidently use your smartphone for everyday travel and online security in this engaging Tech Chat. Whether you’re new to technology or just looking to sharpen your skills, this session is designed to make digital tools accessible and easy to use.
You’ll learn how to navigate using Google Maps or Apple Maps, check travel times before you leave, and manage your passwords securely with Apple Passwords or Google Password Manager. This practical workshop is perfect for seniors and adults seeking simple, useful phone skills.
The session is led by an experienced library staff member who provides clear, step-by-step demonstrations at a comfortable pace, ensuring everyone can follow along on their own device.
This free one-hour session runs from 13:00 to 14:00 on Friday, 6 March 2026, at the Clive James Library in Kogarah. Bring your own smartphone or tablet—both iPhone and Android devices are supported.
Library Wi-Fi is available to support your learning during the session. Spaces are limited, so booking in advance is essential to secure your spot.
Additional sessions are also available on 20 March (Hurstville), 10 April (Kogarah), and 17 April (Hurstville), each from 13:00 to 14:00.
The event takes place at Clive James Library, located in Kogarah Town Square on Belgrave Street, Kogarah. The library is accessible and welcoming, with staff ready to assist.
Public transport options and parking are available nearby, making it easy to attend. The venue supports inclusivity and accessibility, ensuring a comfortable experience for all participants.

Participants under 16 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian who remains in the library during the session. Arriving more than 10 minutes late may result in your place being given to someone on the standby list.
