What to Expect
Dive into a unique creative experience using thrifted fabrics to express personal stories and identities. This hands-on workshop encourages participants to design and craft a one-line fabric banner that is both meaningful and artistic. Led by the talented artist Sydney Sydney, the session promises a welcoming and inspiring environment.
Participants will enjoy working with soft, handmade materials, creating artworks that celebrate individuality and community. The finished pieces will be showcased in the Gallery of Young Art (GoYA) as part of the Pride in June celebrations, adding a special sense of accomplishment and pride.

Activity Details
The workshop runs on Saturday, 16 May 2026, from 10:00 to 13:00. It is a free event, making it accessible for all interested participants. The session is part of the IDAHOBIT program, highlighting inclusion and diversity.
Participants will receive guidance from Sydney Sydney (they/he), who will help bring their fabric poetry ideas to life. All materials are provided, so attendees only need to bring their enthusiasm and creativity.
