What to Expect
The Nomad Wandering Youth Space is a vibrant and engaging mobile youth program designed to bring fun and connection to young people aged 10 to 18. This decked-out trailer travels to various parks around the City of Gosnells, offering a dynamic space filled with pop-up activities, games, and friendly Youth Workers ready to chat and support.
Young attendees can enjoy a variety of activities including sports equipment, giant yard games, skateboards with helmets, art gear, Nintendo Switch games, circus games, and board games. The Nomad also features a fold-out stage, roll-out barbecue, bean bags, sound system, and a large TV, creating a welcoming and lively environment.
This drop-in style program requires no registration, making it easy for families to join whenever it suits them. It’s a fantastic way for kids and teens to make new friends, try new activities, and spend quality time outdoors in a safe and supervised setting.
Activity Details
The Nomad operates during school term 1 of 2026 on Fridays from 15:00 to 17:30. Locations alternate between YES at Sutherlands Park and Langford Sporting Complex, with specific dates on 13 and 27 February, 13 and 27 March, and additional dates on 20 February, 6 March, and 20 March.
Participants are encouraged to bring their own skateboards or scooters if they wish, and helmets are provided for safety. The program does not run on Western Australian public holidays.
Youth Workers are present throughout the event to provide support and ensure a positive experience for all attendees. The program is free of charge and open to all young people within the age range.
Location and Access
The Nomad visits multiple locations within the City of Gosnells, including:
- YES (Youth Entertainment Space) at Lot 92 Holmes Street, Huntingdale WA 6110, suitable for skateboard, scooter, and BMX riders.
- Langford Sporting Complex, a district reserve adjacent to Roe Highway, featuring multiple sporting areas for netball, softball, and athletics.
Both locations are accessible by car and public transport, with ample space for parking and easy access for families. The program is designed to be inclusive and welcoming to all young people in the community.
Important Information
Health and safety are priorities for The Nomad program. Participants are discouraged from attending if unwell to protect the wellbeing of all.
Event capacity limits may be in place to ensure quality experiences and maintain safety. Changes or cancellations can occur at short notice due to weather or unforeseen circumstances.

The Nomad Wandering Youth Space is a free, drop-in program requiring no prior registration. Families can simply show up at the scheduled times and locations.
