Toddler Time is a delightful session designed to engage your little ones through talking, singing, rhyming, dancing, and reading. It's a joyful opportunity to shake musical instruments, beat to the rhythm, and cuddle your child over a story. Expect plenty of smiles and new friendships as you and your toddler enjoy this lively and nurturing environment.
This session is tailored specifically for toddlers aged 12 months to 3 years. Older siblings are welcome to join but are encouraged to bring their own 'baby' doll or animal to help them focus and participate alongside their younger family member.
Bookings are no longer required, making it easy for busy parents to drop in and enjoy the session without prior arrangements.
The session runs weekly every Friday morning from 9:30 AM to 10:00 AM, providing a consistent and convenient time for families to join in. This program is part of the First 5 Forever initiative, a Queensland Government project coordinated by the State Library of Queensland and delivered in partnership with local government.
The activities are thoughtfully designed to support early childhood development through music, movement, and storytelling, fostering language skills and social interaction.
Parents and carers are encouraged to participate actively, making it a shared experience that strengthens bonds and creates lasting memories.
Toddler Time is held at Gatton Library, located at 34 Lake Apex Drive, Gatton QLD 4343. The library is a welcoming community space easily accessible by car with parking available nearby.
