What to Expect

With recent significant updates effective from the end of 2025, the session will provide clear, practical guidance to help attendees confidently make informed decisions.

There will be an opportunity to ask questions during an open Q&A session, enjoy complimentary morning tea, and take home useful literature from various aged-care organisations.
Participants can also have one-on-one conversations with representatives from aged-care service providers and support organisations, making it easier to connect with the right people for individual needs.

The event covers both in-home care and residential care options, explaining where to start your aged-care journey, how to register for services, what support is available, and how to access it. The session aims to demystify recent changes and empower families and carers with knowledge.
This is a free event suitable for middle-aged parents caring for elderly family members who want to understand the aged-care landscape better. It is part of the Seniors' Festival 2026 and is repeated in two locations for convenience.
The Katoomba session runs on 12 March 2026 from 10:30 to 12:00, with an identical event held in Springwood on 19 March 2026.
