What to Expect
Dive into an extraordinary underwater journey with Bada, a young girl searching for her missing fisherman father. This Australian premiere brings a magical tale to life through innovative theatre techniques, including actors performing lying down with live overhead camera feeds, creating a mesmerizing visual experience. Children aged 3 and above will be captivated by the glowing, glittery underwater world and the heartfelt story of family and discovery.
The performance is bilingual, presented in Korean and English, ensuring accessibility and engagement for diverse audiences. Before and after the show, families can enjoy creative play activities in the foyer, crafting their own under-the-sea creatures to extend the imaginative experience.
On Wednesday, 30 September, after the 2:30pm show, there is a special post-show artist talk where young audiences can interact with the Korean cast, ask questions, and learn about the inspiration behind the production.

Waiting! runs for approximately 50 minutes with no interval, making it perfect for young attention spans. The show is recommended for children aged 3 and up, with a focus on visual storytelling and physical theatre. The performance features a blend of live acting and multimedia projections, creating a unique sensory experience.
Tickets are available in Premium and A Reserve categories, with special pricing for Sydney Opera House Insiders and groups of four or more. Booking fees apply. The show is presented by Haddangse, a renowned Korean theatre company known for its imaginative and community-oriented productions.
Location and Access
The event takes place in The Studio at Sydney Opera House, located in the north-western corner of the building and best accessed via the Western Foyers. The Opera House is a 7-10 minute walk from Circular Quay and is easily reachable by car, train, ferry, light rail, bus, bike, or on foot.
Facilities include pram parking outside the theatres, accessible lifts, and wheelchair seating available upon request. Refreshments can be purchased from theatre bars, and the venue is smoke-free to ensure a safe environment for all visitors.
Important Information
Children aged 15 and under must be accompanied by an adult at all times. The show’s duration is approximate and may be subject to change. Latecomers may be seated at a suitable break to minimize disruption. Bags will be scanned for security, and cloaking facilities are available but travelling light is encouraged.
