What to Expect
Immerse yourself in a rich learning experience designed specifically for primary teachers. This program offers a deep dive into First Nations histories and cultures, delivered by knowledgeable First Nations educators. You will gain confidence in teaching Aboriginal content authentically and building meaningful relationships with Aboriginal families and communities.
The day includes collaborative learning, practical strategies, and opportunities to create and share teaching program components. It’s a unique chance to enhance your teaching practice with culturally respectful and accurate content.
Activity Details
This full-day workshop runs from 09:30 to 16:00, with an optional weaving session from 16:00 to 16:45. The program covers NESA standards 1.4 and 2.4 and is aimed at primary teachers. Tea, coffee, and a light lunch are provided to keep you refreshed throughout the day.
The session is limited to 30 participants to ensure an engaging and interactive environment. Fully funded places are available for teachers from South-West Sydney, Western Sydney, or regional NSW.

The event takes place at the Australian Museum, Sydney, in the LG Patricia McDonald Education Rooms. The museum is centrally located at 1 William Street, Sydney NSW 2010, easily accessible by public transport.

Important Information
