Woodwork Level I is designed to introduce you and your family to the fundamentals of woodworking in a supportive and hands-on environment. This course is perfect for parents looking to explore a new hobby or skill alongside their school-aged children, providing a safe space to learn and create.
You will gain entry-level knowledge of woodworking tools and occupational health and safety practices. The course covers basic skills such as nailing, screwing, joining, sanding, and finishing wood projects. Group materials are provided, but students are encouraged to bring their own individual materials for all classes.
The course runs daily from 14:00 to 18:00, starting on 2026-05-17 and continuing through to 2026-06-23, offering multiple sessions to fit your schedule. This structured program also opens pathways to Woodwork Level II, volunteer opportunities, and paid employment in related fields.
