The workshop will be held on Saturday, 14 December 2026, from 10:00 to 13:00. It is a drop-in style event, allowing flexibility for families to join at their convenience within the session hours.
The cost is $5 per child, making it an affordable way to introduce your child to pastel art. The session is suitable for school-aged children who have an interest in drawing and animals.
Experienced artist Patrice Wills will guide the workshop, providing expert tips and encouragement to help each young artist create their pastel masterpiece.
Location and Access
The event takes place at The Leo Kelly Blacktown Arts Centre, located at 78 Flushcombe Rd, Blacktown, NSW 2148. The venue is easily accessible by car and public transport, with parking available nearby.
The Arts Centre is a welcoming space equipped for creative workshops, ensuring a comfortable and inspiring environment for children and their families.
Families are encouraged to arrive a few minutes early to settle in and prepare their materials before the workshop begins.
Important Information
Please ensure your child wears comfortable clothing suitable for art activities, as pastel dust may cause minor staining. Protective aprons or smocks can be brought along.
All art materials, including pastels and paper, will be provided by the Arts Centre.
Parents or guardians must accompany children during the workshop for supervision and support.
Booking and Prices
Bookings are not mandatory due to the drop-in format, but early arrival is recommended to secure a spot as spaces may be limited.
