What to Expect
This engaging boxing program is designed specifically for young males aged 13 to 17. It offers a unique opportunity to improve physical fitness while also focusing on mental health and wellbeing. Participants will learn proper boxing techniques in a supportive and safe environment.
The program emphasizes teamwork, goal setting, and building confidence and resilience. It's a great way for young people to develop self-defence skills and control, all while having fun and staying active.
Activity Details
The workshop runs for four weeks with daily sessions from 15:45 to 16:30. Each session is led by a professional boxing facilitator in partnership with Reclink, ensuring expert guidance and a positive experience.
Activities include learning boxing techniques, fitness exercises, and discussions on mental health and wellbeing. The program encourages personal growth and social connection among participants.
Bookings are essential as walk-ins are not accepted. The program is free of charge and suitable for boys aged 13 to 17 years.
Location and Access
The sessions take place at Broadmeadows Youth Central, located at 33-37 Pearcedale Parade, Broadmeadows, 3047. This venue is accessible and provides a safe space for young people to engage in physical activity.
Parents can easily drop off and pick up their children at this central location. Parking and public transport options are available nearby.
Important Information
Participants must be within the age range of 13 to 17 years. The program requires prior booking to secure a spot.
All sessions run from Friday, 6 February 2026 through Thursday, 27 February 2026, daily at the same time.
The program promotes a respectful and inclusive environment, focusing on building confidence and resilience through sport.

This program is offered free of charge by Hume City Council in partnership with Reclink. To participate, bookings are required and can be made through the provided registration link.
Spaces are limited to ensure quality instruction and safety, so early registration is recommended. No walk-ins will be accepted.
