This engaging two-day course is designed to equip participants with the confidence and knowledge to recognise when a young person may be struggling with their mental health. You will learn practical skills to offer initial support in a safe and respectful way.
Throughout the sessions, you will explore common mental health challenges faced by youth and how to respond effectively in crisis situations. This course is ideal for anyone aged 18 and over who wants to make a positive difference in their community.
The training is delivered by Project Youth, a trusted organisation specialising in youth mental health support.
The course runs over two consecutive days, Thursday 23 April and Friday 24 April 2026. Each day will provide a mix of interactive learning, real-life scenarios, and expert guidance.
Participants will gain:
- Skills to identify mental health issues in young people
- Techniques to provide initial help and support
- Information on professional resources and referral pathways
This is a free event, making it accessible for anyone interested in enhancing their mental health first aid skills.
