What to Expect
Celebrate the rich heritage of Indigenous culture this NAIDOC Week by participating in a vibrant Indigenous Sand Art workshop. Children aged 5 to 12 will have the opportunity to create beautiful sand art masterpieces inspired by designs from Indigenous Artist Kerri-Ann Tagget. Using a variety of coloured sands, this activity encourages creativity and cultural appreciation in a fun, outdoor setting.
This workshop is designed to engage young minds with the oldest continuous living cultures on earth, providing a meaningful and hands-on experience. It’s a wonderful chance for families to connect with local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities through art.
Expect a welcoming environment where children can express themselves artistically while learning about NAIDOC Week’s significance.
