Dive into a vibrant world of creativity with the Art Club at Campbelltown Arts Centre, designed especially for young artists aged 5 to 14. This program encourages children to explore their own ideas and develop their unique artistic flair through a variety of mediums.
Rather than following strict instructions, kids are inspired to experiment and express themselves freely, fostering confidence and imagination. The sessions include thought-provoking tours of current exhibitions, sparking curiosity and reflection.
The term culminates in a joyful celebration where participants showcase their artwork to friends and family, highlighting their creative journey and achievements.
This term, titled "Art Within Ourselves," invites children on a journey of self-discovery through art. Participants will use visual journals to capture ideas and inspirations, while experimenting with sculpture, portrait drawing, window storytelling, collage memory altars, and painting river stones.
The program is tailored to two age groups: 5-10 years (Art Club) and 10-14 years (Art Club Crew), with some sessions shared depending on numbers. Each session is designed to nurture creativity, reflection, and connection through hands-on activities.
Sessions run weekly from 4:00 PM to 5:30 PM, providing a structured yet flexible environment for artistic growth.
The Art Club takes place at Campbelltown Arts Centre, located at 1 Art Gallery Road, Campbelltown NSW 2560. The centre is situated on Dharawal land and is a welcoming cultural hub supported by the local council and NSW Government.
Visitors can enjoy easy access to the centre, which is open daily from 10 AM to 4 PM. The venue offers a rich cultural experience with exhibitions, workshops, and family-friendly events.
Parking and public transport options are available nearby, making it convenient for families to attend.
The program runs from Thursday, 7 May 2026 to Thursday, 25 June 2026, with sessions held weekly in the late afternoon.
Ages catered for are 5-10 years for the Art Club and 10-14 years for the Art Club Crew. The program is artist-led and encourages self-expression without a step-by-step approach.
Creative Kids vouchers are accepted, reducing the cost for eligible families. Vouchers must be redeemed before their expiry date and are available to those receiving Family Tax Benefits.
The full term fee is $175, with a discounted rate of $125 when using Creative Kids vouchers. A half-term option is also available at $100 or $50 with vouchers.
