Discover the joy of art with your children in a welcoming and inspiring environment. This workshop is designed to spark early art appreciation and creativity by engaging with the artworks displayed in the gallery. Guardians are encouraged to stay and participate alongside their little explorers, making it a wonderful shared experience.
Each session is led by a professional Artist Educator who guides the children through fun and interactive activities inspired by the gallery's current exhibitions. It’s a perfect opportunity for families to connect, learn, and create together.
The workshop runs once a month on Tuesdays from 10:30 to 12:00. It is a drop-in event, so there is no need to book in advance, making it easy to fit into your busy schedule. The sessions are suitable for young children and their guardians, fostering a nurturing space for early creative development.
Activities include hands-on art projects, storytelling, and exploring different artistic techniques, all tailored to engage young minds and encourage self-expression. The program supports Mosman Council’s commitment to creating safer communities for children and young people.
The workshop takes place at the Mosman Art Gallery & Community Centre, located at 1 Art Gallery Way, Mosman. The venue is family-friendly and easily accessible by public transport or car, with nearby parking options.
The gallery space provides a bright and welcoming atmosphere, perfect for children to explore art safely and comfortably. Guardians can relax and enjoy the gallery while participating in the activities with their children.
This is a free event proudly supported by Bendigo Community Bank, Marlen Zilinsky, and a private donor. Guardians must stay with their children during the workshop to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for all.
No prior art experience is necessary, and all materials are provided. The program encourages creativity and learning through play, making it ideal for parents looking to nurture their child’s artistic interests.
The Art Explorers Drop In Workshop requires no bookings and is free to attend. Simply drop in on the scheduled date and time. This flexibility makes it easy for families to participate without the pressure of commitments.
