Dive into a fun and interactive after school session designed especially for children aged 5 to 10. This program beautifully combines traditional literacy skills with creative expression, making reading an engaging and hands-on experience. Kids will connect with popular children's stories and bring them to life through art.
Each session encourages children to explore mixed materials to create unique artwork inspired by the stories read together. This is a wonderful opportunity for your child to develop both their reading comprehension and artistic skills in a supportive environment.
Parents can expect their children to leave with a one-of-a-kind piece of art to cherish and share, fostering a deeper love for stories and creativity.
The event runs on Thursday, 27 August 2026, from 16:00 to 17:00. It is free of charge and held at the Clive James Library and Service Centre in Kogarah.
All materials and equipment are provided, so children just need to bring their enthusiasm and creativity. The program is designed for children aged 5-10 years, with a focus on early literacy and artistic development.
Please note that places are limited and bookings are essential to secure a spot. Late arrivals may be moved to a standby queue if applicable.
The event takes place at Clive James Library and Service Centre, located in Kogarah Town Square on Belgrave Street, Kogarah. The library is accessible and committed to providing inclusive services.
