Dive into a fun and interactive after-school session designed especially for children aged 5 to 10. This event blends traditional literacy skills with creative expression, encouraging kids to connect deeply with popular children's stories.
Each session invites children to explore stories through art, using mixed materials to create unique pieces that they can proudly take home. It’s a perfect way to nurture a love of reading while sparking creativity.
Parents will enjoy seeing their children engage with books in a hands-on way that supports both learning and imagination.
The event runs on Thursday, 6 August 2026, from 16:00 to 17:00. It is free to attend but places are limited, so booking ahead is essential.
All materials and equipment are provided, making it easy for families to participate without needing to bring anything extra.
For children aged 12 and under, a parent or guardian must remain in the library during the session. Contact details for a parent or guardian must be provided at booking for participants under 16.
Please arrive on time; late arrivals may lose their place to those on the standby list.
The event takes place at Hurstville Library, located at the corner of Dora Street and Queens Road, Hurstville.
