Join us for an engaging after school series designed especially for children aged 5 to 10. This unique program blends traditional literacy skills with creative expression, encouraging young minds to connect with popular children's stories through art. Each session promises a fun and educational experience where children create meaningful artwork inspired by the stories they explore together.
Children will dive into a world of stories and imagination, using mixed materials to craft their own unique pieces of art. This hands-on approach helps develop literacy skills while fostering creativity and confidence. Each session concludes with participants taking home their special artwork, a wonderful keepsake of their learning journey.
The program runs on Thursday, 5 November 2026, from 16:00 to 17:00. It is free of charge, but places are limited and bookings are essential. All materials and equipment are provided, ensuring a hassle-free experience for parents and children alike. Parents or guardians must remain in the library during the session for children aged 12 and under.
The event takes place at Penshurst Library, located at 630 Forest Road, Penshurst. The library is committed to accessibility and inclusivity. If you have any specific support needs, please contact the library in advance to ensure a comfortable experience for your child.
Participants under 16 must provide parent or guardian contact details at booking. Arriving more than 10 minutes late may result in losing your spot to the standby queue. If you cannot attend, please cancel at least 3 hours before the event to allow others to participate. The library does not endorse any products used during the workshop.
This is a free event, but booking is essential due to limited spaces. Secure your child's spot early to avoid disappointment. For bookings and more information, please contact the library via email or phone as provided.
