Step into the shoes of Shakespeare’s most notorious characters like Tybalt, Lady Macbeth, and Polonius in this dynamic and immersive drama workshop. Designed for students in Years 5-6, this program invites young actors to explore text analysis, character building, and the motivations behind these infamous roles. Led by a professional actor, participants will develop their performance skills and gain a deeper understanding of Shakespearean drama.

What to Expect

Throughout the week, students will engage in lively exercises that bring Shakespeare’s villains to life. They will delve into the text to uncover the complexities of each character, learning how to portray their wickedness convincingly. The workshop culminates in a performance where students share their scenes with an audience, showcasing their newfound skills and confidence.

Activity Details

This workshop runs from Monday 14th July to Friday 18th July, with daily sessions from 9:30am to 3:30pm. Aftercare is available until 5:00pm Monday to Thursday for an additional fee. A one-off booking fee applies to all purchases. Early bird pricing is available until Tuesday 10th June.

The workshop takes place at ATYP, Pier 2/3, 13A Hickson Road, Dawes Point, NSW, 2000, on Eora Country. The venue is accessible and located in a vibrant cultural precinct, making it easy for families to attend.

Tickets can be purchased online with options for full payment or deposit plus installments. Early bird price is $475, increasing to $500 after 10th June. Aftercare until 5:00pm is available Monday to Thursday for an additional $60. A booking fee applies to all transactions.
