Step back in time at the Blue Mountains Historical Society's Open Day at Tarella Historic Cottage. This delightful late 19th century holiday home is furnished with authentic period pieces, some linked to the original McLaughlin family owners. The Open Day runs from 10:00 to 15:00 on Sunday 29 March 2026. Entry costs $10 for adults and $2 for school-aged children, which includes access to both the cottage and the Blue Mountains Historical Society Research facilities. Morning and afternoon teas are available, and occasionally soup and buns, for a small additional charge.
The event welcomes both members and visitors, with volunteers on hand to share stories and answer questions. It’s a wonderful opportunity to connect with local history in a warm, community atmosphere.
