Dive into the vibrant world of zines, where creativity meets self-expression. Whether your child loves manga, poetry, fan art, or quirky facts, this club offers a welcoming space to explore all these and more. Participants will learn about the history and community of zines while experimenting with different formats to create their own unique booklets.
All materials are provided, so your child only needs to bring their imagination and enthusiasm. This club is perfect for young creatives aged 10-18, with younger participants (10-12 years) requiring a responsible adult to accompany them.
The Central Coast Zine Club meets every Monday from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Gosford Regional Library MakerSpace. The sessions run from 4 May to 27 July 2026, with a break on the public holiday, 8 June. You can book one or multiple sessions depending on your schedule.
Participants attending all 12 sessions will have the exciting opportunity to showcase their work at the Zine Fair on Saturday, 18 July 2026. This is a fantastic chance for young artists to share their creations with the community and gain confidence in their artistic voice.
The club is held at Gosford Regional Library, located at 123a Donnison Street, Gosford NSW 2250. The MakerSpace is a dedicated creative area within the library, designed to inspire and support young makers.
The library is easily accessible by public transport and offers parking nearby. It is a safe, welcoming environment for children and their accompanying adults. Directions and additional access information can be found on the library’s website or by contacting the council.
Please note that the club is suitable for ages 10-18 years. Children aged 10-12 must be accompanied by a responsible adult to ensure a supportive and safe environment.
The club will not run on Monday, 8 June 2026, due to the public holiday. Spaces are limited, so early booking is recommended to secure your child’s place.
For any enquiries, you can contact the organisers directly at 0451 070 551.
Booking is essential and can be done for individual sessions or the entire series of 12 meetings. This flexibility allows families to choose what best fits their schedules.
The sessions are free of charge, making this a wonderful opportunity for young creatives to engage in a fun and educational activity without financial pressure.
Keep an eye out for the Zine Fair on 18 July 2026, where participants who attend all sessions can proudly display their work and celebrate their creative journey.
